My name is Shelly and this is just a little bit about me. My husband and I live in rural Minnesota and have been married for 33 years. I became interested in stained glass about 4 years ago when my best friend Vik, showed me the basics. Well, as she now says, “I’ve created a stained glass maniac!”.
After stumbling around and many cut fingers later, I finally got the hang of cutting and grinding. But there was still one more hurdle - how to get the blasted solder to look decent. I soon realized that I needed help. So I signed up for a class with a local couple that owns a stained glass business and holds classes each year. Well, needless to say, that did the trick and I am now hopelessly addicted to the art of stained glass!
We have two great sons, who have married the most wonderful, warmhearted women. We love them both. But best of all they have given my husband and I the most precious of gifts - our grandchildren. What a great experience to watch these miniature versions of their parents grow and blossom into extraordinary little people. We love all the hugs, kisses and laughter.
Next to my husband, children and grandkids (and fishing when we get the chance), there is glass. I’ve converted one of our bedrooms into my workshop and crammed as much as I can in there with just enough room to work. After listening to me grumble about missing my two favorite shows, (CSI and Cold Case Files), my husband took pity on me and put a TV in my room. Wow! Now, I am a happy women!
So many people have asked where can we see what you do? After working on some designs of my own, and with increasing interest in my work, I decided to take it to the next level and get a website up and going. It's taken me quite awhile to get this site up and running. Needless to say that among my varied talents, web design is not one of them. But I've stumbled around enough to at least get it up and running, so bear with me while I get this mastered!
Welcome to my little corner of the world …look around, enjoy and feel free to contact me, I would love to hear from you.
